England Part 4 | Harry Potter Tour, Leadenhall Market & St. Pancras Station

Well this is the last post!  Sunday I did my second presentation at SWPP and had a great turn out!  I also didn’t have any of the technical problems I had the first day, so I was really happy:) After it was over, we went in search of some Harry Potter landmarks for the sake of my oldest son, who is an AVID fan of Harry Potter.

First off we headed to Leadenhall Market.  This was where the Diagon Alley scenes were filmed.  It doesn’t really look anything like the movie, but still where it was filmed.  Unfortunately when we got there everything was closed, but it was still such a cool market to look around.  It’s been around for a LONG time (what’s new in London?) and even before these buildings were built this was a market to sell things even in Roman times.  I LOVED this market and it had some cute stores, so next year I hope to come back and do some shopping when it’s open:)

Next we hopped back on the Tube and headed to St. Pancras Station.  To give you an idea of how HUGE London is, we were staying in Hammersmith, it took us about an hour on the Tube to get to St. Pancras Station.  I didn’t realize how large London really was.  I can’t even imagine how long it would have taken to actually drive there….so sitting on the train and chatting was much preferable to navigating the upper streets of London.  We found Platform 9 3/4 and took the obligatory photo here and then I took some shots of around the station.  The architecture was awesome.  These are all from my iphone.  The sculptures were awesome too.  All in all we had a great day out and got back to the hotel to pack and leave the next morning.

Thanks for indulging me while I shared the images from my trip!  I’ve already submitted my presentations for next year and can’t wait to go back!  Hopefully next year Nathan can come with me……

Katie - Apparently the WRONG line! :) You’ll have to fill me in next year……we did take one that stopped at EVERY SINGLE STOP :)

Lauren Baker - Glad you had a nice time in England Katie! I was at your seminar and it was great so thankyou! I dont know which route you took to St Pancras as it only took me 25 mins from Hammersmith! Still, glad you had fun and enjoyed yourself :) Lauren
