{Time and the Ice Cream Truck}

YIKES! Where has this week gone?…..no wait….where has the month of September gone? Anyone else feel like time is speeding by like a blazing bullet? I’ve been preparing for a huge shoot I’m doing in Portland on Sunday- getting gear together, making sure I have some business cards, booking a hotel, etc. I distinctly remember saying I was going to do a blog a day this week. Well darn….that didn’t happen!

I promise, promise they are coming. I have a million lab orders to fulfill, some albums to finish, CD’s to make and deliver, some marketing to order and the studio to prepare! PHEW……So without further adieu, I’m going to get working, but please check in early next week for some images from my wedding shoot/fashion show this weekend. I’m going to be collaborating with some awesome Oregon photographers and other professionals and models and it will be tons of fun! Also coming next week is another senior rep, two OpLove sessions, and THREE (count them 3!) weddings I 2nd shot at and am finally getting around to blogging about them:)

Let’s see what else can I gab about for a second? OH! My 6 year old told me the other day that he didn’t want to go to school. When I asked him why, he said that he might miss the ice cream truck so he wanted to stay home. You see I’m an evil mother and only let my kids get ice cream from that gloriously enticing truck every once in a while. COME ON! Give me a break!……it’s expensive! And when I say enticing, I mean whenever my 2 year old sees any kind of truck shaped like the ice cream truck he can’t stop telling me it’s the ice cream truck! Anyway the 5 year old and 8 year old discussed it and decided that if I wouldn’t give them money then they would use their own out of their piggy banks and he was SURE he was going to miss the ice cream truck while he was at school. I had to break the news to him that the ice cream truck had probably ended it’s daily circuit down our street due to school starting and the weather getting cooler. He was heartbroken…..so I caved and took him to Cold Stone later after school. See I’m not all that evil am I?…..just horribly inconsistent I guess. Oh well…Anyone else excited that tomorrow is Friday?

Elli - I would have done the same – taken the heartbroken kid to ColdStone. Well, if I could. Our nearest one is too far away. :-) I hope you’re enjoying your time in Portland!
