The announcement is here! Everything has settled down and is finished…..in one aspect:)If you’ve been around here lately you’ll notice the changes, as in this is now a blogsite, where I’ve combined my blogging and portfolio’s and all other information in one. Now my wedding portfolio is complete! I’m also offering some amazing new products to my wedding and engagement clients.  You can find them listed under “Boutique Products” on the new site and there’s pictures of each item.  They include  two new album choices, some awesome photo accessories, and other custom products that will really finish off your whole experience with my studio.  As you can see with my splash page, new improvements will also be coming to my Lifestyle and Senior portfolio’s.

In other news, my two oldest went back to school yesterday!  First and second grade is a BIG deal for these little guys.  We started a new school this year and they get to ride the bus…..did you notice I said “get”.  They’ve wanted to ride a bus ever since they first saw their friends get off the school bus last year and the year before.  Going to the zoo on the end of year kindergarten field trip was the absolute highlight of each of their short school experiences.  What’s wrong with these kids?  I remember never wanting to ride the bus, it wasn’t the “cool” thing, but apparently it now is.  So I get to walk them down to the bus stop every morning and pick them up in the afternoon.  It’s a nice little walk and I love to see how independent they’re getting!

Braedon was up at the crack of dawn, and I mean THE CRACK, dressed and ready for his first day.  Here’s some snapshots of them off to catch the bus for the first time, Braedon was so proud of the black and red checkered Vans that he picked out himself.  I thought he was going to die if I didn’t get those shoes for him.

Do you notice that it’s a pretty nice day?….Sun peeking out of clouds every so often.  Then the bus came, right on time, and as SOON as the kids got on the bus, this is what happened:

It was a complete downpour and Kasen and I got drenched!  It’s only a short walk home, but I looked like I had just pulled myself out of a swimming pool.  Dripping hair, water running down my face!  Kasen thought it was fun though and kept saying WET!

So I had a nice, relatively quiet day at home and I’m starting to get back into a regular routine.  We went to pick them up in the afternoon and they had such a great day and couldn’t stop talking about eating breakfast in their classroom, and the school wide blue slips that they collect when they’re good.  Apparently, if they get so many, the prize is lunch with the principal…who would have thought that was such an awesome prize!  But seriously they have a great principal.  Nathan was home and able to come up to meet them with us:)

And there you have it, a TRUE western Washington fall day.  Nice and sunny, downpour and then nice and sunny again.  Truly though I absolutely love it here and wouldn’t have it any other way.  Happy Thursday!
