{Mike + Adrienne Married l Wolf Ridge Resort Wedding}

I met Adrienne in a crowded Starbucks in downtown Seattle. I knew right away that I liked her. She was detail oriented, organized and to the point. I could tell by the binder of wedding plans she had, the notes she took while I was talking to her and the questions she asked me. As she told me about her big day- resort in the mountains, walking in through a meadow while children were spreading flower petals and a little boy rang a cow bell, signaling the wedding party was approaching. Friends and family standing in support of the new union to be, a pig roast and a “non-traditional” cake of marsh mellows and s’mores over a fire- I knew I wanted to be her photographer. As I got in my car after our meeting, I hoped and hoped that I would hear back from her and that she would choose me for the job.

You know how you just mesh with some people? I love that I “mesh” with all my clients. It’s like there’s some kind of unique characteristic in all of them that’s just like me! I am so lucky to have such great clients, and it just so happens, obviously, that Adrienne chose me to photograph her wedding day in June at Wolf Ridge Resort in Winthrop, WA. Here’s a few of my favorites from the day! Thank you to Danae from Jacquelyn West Photography for helping me out that day!

~Adrienne and Mike, your wedding day was truly unique and non traditional in a sea of “traditional” weddings. I was truly honored to be a part of it. Your friends and family love you guys so much and are so fun! Congratulations on your marriage!

Adrienne’s dress was fabulous! A short, strapless white dress with a birdcage veil, red flower in her hair and red shoes…..RED SHOES you say?….my heart skipped a beat when I saw them, a girl can never have too many pairs of red shoes..just ask my husband!

Adrienne and Mike decided to see each other before the wedding, which I LOVE! We snuck off over a little bridge down by the river. In the summer time, Mike is down at this river almost every weekend fishing and just enjoying the great outdoors….a nice respite from the city.

Here’s that little bridge….aren’t they a gorgeous couple?

The cowbell signaled that the bridal party was coming to the ceremony site so the guests could get situated. Most everyone was standing and the party walked in through the meadow as fresh flower petals were laid down before them by the flower girls and then they encircled the couple with a flower petal circle and the ceremony began. It was a beautiful sunny (HOT) day in western Washington and the skies were amazingly blue!

The details of the day…I loved all the messages from friends and family written all over the tables. Paper was laid down and crayons given and each and every table had little doodles and drawings all over it. I loved the “smack-a-roo” doodle. The cocktail hour was also filled with games of all kinds including horseshoes:)

These people knew how to GET DOWN…to be honest, me and my 2nd shooter were restraining ourselves from joining in. I do love to dance and the music was GREAT! and yes that is Mike there with Adrienne, he just changed, to get a little more comfortable. It was REALLY hot that day!

There’s always ONE thing at each wedding I do that chokes me up a little, and in this wedding it was Adrienne’s dance with her grandpa. I loved it and it was so touching. You can see from the pictures that she loves him very much and he her!
