So some of you may remember back in December I ran my annual “Giving is Awesome” contest. This is a program that I participate in every year that gives back to special people in the community. I hold a month long nomination period where people send me nomintaions of a person or person(s) that they feel would deserve my custom photography. The winner is announced on Christmas Eve. This past year’s winner was Rachelle and it was just an amazing experience to be able to call her on Christmas Eve and let her know that she was the winner of $1,000 worth of custom photography with my studio! I have to admit I choked up a little when I was letting her know. It’s just an amazing thing to be a part of such a great program. I feel so strongly about giving back and the two programs I participate in- Giving is Awesome and Operation: Love Reunited- are two of the best around in my opinion!
I’m happy to say that Rachelle contacted me a few weeks ago and let me know that she would like to spend her winnings on a newborn session with her sweet baby girl. This baby was oh so cute and adorable and snuggly and wanted to be awake the whole time to see what was going on. She was so good though and I couldn’t have asked for a better baby.
Rachelle I’m so glad that I got to know you and your baby and I wish nothing but the best for your future! Thank you so much for allowing me to document the beginning of your child’s life!
