{Rainy Sundays and E-Sessions}

A friend of mine recently blogged about lazy days at home.  You know the kind where you just curl up and do nothing?  The days where you just stay in your pajamas all day long and set aside all of the “important” stuff that needs to be done and just…….laze around.  I promptly responded that I love lazy days and wished sometimes that I had a few more.  I’ve been neglecting my blogs lately, but with good reason.  February was one crazy month for my family and March is looking to be more of the same, but I am finding the positives about crazy months.

I love that we were blessed to be able to have Nathan stay here for shore duty.  He snagged an amazing job with squadron, and although he has to travel a ton, he gets to travel around the world evaluating the same systems and procedures that he’s done for the past 3 years on submarines.  One of the perks of this job, my internet friends, is that he racks up the frequent flyer miles, and it’s looking as if I’ll be spending my 11th anniversary in Hawaii this year!……mabye I shouldn’t have said that yet, because I always jinx the good things when I speak so soon, so we’ll wait and see if this trip comes to fruition.  I do have to say though, that the past 3 anniversary’s, INLCUDING my 10th, which is a big one, were spent without Nathan, as he was out to sea for all of them…..so I AM deserving of an amazing vacation to Hawaii this year.  Now if I can only convince my mother to come watch my kids for the weekend……

Next we finally sold our home.  After 7 months on the market, we found a buyer and closing is just weeks away.  I will say that I never ever want to see a brown storage box again!  It seemed that Nathan conveniently had to travel the week before our move and I was left to pack up the house all by myself, which meant that I also unpack mostly by myself since I’m a nut about organization and only “I” can put things away (I’ve rethought that a little and Nathan has been great with following my daily “to do” lists for him since moving to the new house).

The studio opens in just a few short weeks also, and I am excited and nervous about this new venture in my career.  They, and “they” meaning the contractor, says I’ll be able to move in at the end of this week.  I will definitely post pictures of the new place and stay tuned for an announcement about the open house, which will be by invite only!  There will be special giveaways and just a great time all around.

Finally I am so envigorated about the upcoming year.  I am already 3/4′s of the way to my wedding goal and it is only March!  I can’t tell you how excited I am to be documenting one of the most important days in most people’s lives.  I have some amazing weddings on the books at some amazing venues and I can’t wait to share them all.  My very first wedding is coming up in April and I got the chance to shoot some engagement pictures for a truly awesome couple.  Here’s a sneek peek, a sample of their full session will follow shortly and here’s to a much needed rainy Sunday, where I lazed around with my family and snuggled my little ones!
